Overview
Designed a seasonal promotional campaign for Lindsey Lodge Hospice to raise awareness of its Easter Egg Stravaganza and encourage local families to attend.
Combined bold typography, playful illustrations and a warm pastel palette to communicate the event's date, location, activities and free entry offer clearly across community noticeboards, printed flyers and social media.
The campaign positioned the event as welcoming, accessible and closely connected to the hospice's community focused identity.

Problem
Lindsey Lodge Hospice needed to promote several event activities within a single design while competing with similar Easter campaigns in busy community spaces and social feeds.
The campaign had to achieve four communication goals:
- Capture attention quickly.
- Make essential event details easy to scan.
- Appeal to children and reassure parents.
- Maintain a warm and trustworthy charity identity.
The main challenge was creating a distinctive Easter visual style without relying on generic seasonal imagery or allowing the illustrations to overpower the event information.
Process
Define the creative direction
Explored typography led, photographic and illustrated concepts to identify the strongest approach for a family and community audience.
Selected a playful illustrated direction to create a warmer emotional response and distinguish the campaign from conventional local event advertising.
Build the colour and visual system
Developed a soft cream background supported by pink, orange, teal and navy accents to balance warmth with readability.
Used consistent colour coding across the campaign to highlight the event title, date, activities and free entry message.
Organise the information hierarchy
Structured the content into five clear communication levels:
Charity brand → event title → date and location → activities → free entry message
Made the event name and date the most prominent elements so viewers could understand the essential information within seconds.
Create the illustrated Easter scene
Developed a family friendly scene using rabbits, decorated eggs, flowers, foliage and countryside elements.
Positioned the illustrations around the copy to create energy and seasonal character without affecting legibility.
Adapt and prepare campaign assets
Applied the visual system across A3 posters, A5 flyers and digital social formats.
Refined spacing, contrast and branding before exporting print ready files and screen optimised campaign artwork.
